For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to what lies beneath the surface—to the deeper essence of people, the quiet intelligence woven throughout nature, and the invisible threads that connect us all.
Over the years, different people have known me in different ways. Some know me as an artist. Others know me as an educator, entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, or horsewoman.
To many, these may seem like separate chapters.
To me, they have always been part of the same story.
Looking back, I can see a quiet thread woven through everything I've created.
Whether working with children, horses, communities, or through paint, I have always been drawn to creating spaces where people reconnect with their own inner wisdom, recognize their inherent wholeness, and step into a fuller expression of themselves. The medium has changed over the years, but the intention has remained remarkably constant.
Today, through Denise Joy Studios, my paintings, Soul Portraits, and Living Canvas experiences are all invitations to pause, reconnect, and discover something meaningful within ourselves and one another.
