Splitting Prisms
30” by 52”
Acrylic and Oil on Linen (unstretched)
$1600
Painted during a time of increasing division, Splitting Prisms became a reflection on our shared humanity. It explores the possibility that individuality and connection are not opposites, but part of the same light.

Unlike much of my work, this painting felt less like a discovery and more like a statement that insisted on being painted.
A beam of light separates into its full spectrum, revealing that every color emerges from the same source.
The handwritten words became part of the composition itself:
Each color is part of the same original source... and ...what is already inside the light.
